Job Title:         Medical Director / Program Physician

Location:         Carmichael & Sacramento, California

Job Status:       (will consider either Full-time or Part-time)

 

Responsibilities:

-
To assume medical responsibility for the Clinic and to supervise all the medical services rendered to patients; to authorize and supervise dispensing of daily narcotic replacement therapy and other medication by medical staff; and to train all staff in Universal Precautions and emergency medical procedures to be followed in case of medical emergencies. Work is performed under operational supervision. This may include working with Methadone Detox, Maintenance Program and/or Intensive Outpatient Program. .


Requirements:

Must be licensed in good standing to practice medicine as a physician in Arizona. Must have a current and valid DEA registration and may not, at any time, have had an application for registration with the DEA denied, had a DEA registration revoked or surrendered a DEA registration for cause. Must possess, or be able to obtain, credentialing with the State MCO. Must be able to provide comprehensive quality patient care and referrals. One year of primary care experience and substance abuse treatment experience preferred.

Job Title:         Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Location:         San Francisco, California

Job Status:       Part-time

 

Responsibilities:

-
Evaluation of new clients and re-evaluation of current clients for initiation, alteration or continuation of medications. Maintenance of individual clients caseloads for medication monitoring and response to medications. May provide individual treatment as primary clinician or facilitate group treatment on focuses symptom management, wellness, and/or areas of expertise. Documentation up to CMHS and QA standards. May supervise clinical staff.


Requirements:

Must possess a valid California Registered Nurse License and a valid California Nurse Practitioner Certificate with a specialty in Psychiatry. Furnishing privileges and ANCC certification (or eligibility) as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner required. Must be committed to working in community mental health setting including clientele with severe chronic and acute psychiatric disorders
